Why Study in New Brunswick?

Taking up post-secondary education in New Brunswick will provide you lots of benefits – from competitive fees to a safe environment.

The province has a relatively low cost of living compared to central and western Canada. It also has the lowest crime rates in North America.  You can also enjoy the wide open spaces and country living that’s close to urban centres.

As the country’s only official bilingual province, English and French enjoy equal status.

The province has four publicly-funded universities – University of New Brunswick, St. Thomas University, Mount Allison University and Université de Moncton.

There’s also the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) and the Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB) made up of two colleges with six English campuses and five French campuses located throughout the Province.

There’s also the Maritime College of Forest Technology and Collège de Technologie forestière des Maritimes.

Click here for more information about the educational institutions http://www.gnb.ca/0105/ps/enbsnb/02-e.asp

The publicly-funded institutions also offer employment opportunities for international students.

You will need a study permit and you can apply for a work permit as well so you can work while you are in Canada as a student. You can visit http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/index.asp to find out how to apply for these permits.
